Next weeks theme is The art of focus and concentration

Our attention is the most valuable thing we have.

The Theme I have picked for next week's class content on our online platform is quite close to my heart. With so much pulling at our attention in this busy world from phones pinging, computers notifying, advertising, social media, work, health, whanau, home life. I personally find it a daily struggle to get the focus and concentration required to do what really matters to me in life. Sometimes I truly question my sanity or if I have ADHD. However, that's when I lean into the yoga toolbox to bring me back. I can't wait to share this toolbox with you all next week.

I have a great Vinyasa Class coming out that can be done as one longer class or split into 2 shorter session.

A Yin Class focusing on going inward

And a Focus Meditation.

I'm totally amped for our new format of content delivery. We are all systems go for the launch this coming Sunday 5th of November, which means I'm well under way with planning and filming the content. I'm loving next theme for next week cause I think everyone suffers from this at the moment...myself included. The theme is Yoga and Meditation for Focus and Concentration. 

What to expect:

Sunday Newsletter with the week's worth of content and the intention of use behind it.

  • A vinyasa flow class that can be done as a full-hour class or split into 2x 30-minute classes.

  • Yin Yoga session

  • A meditation to match the theme

We recommend using the same classes for the week for maximum results.

And I'll be dropping in here to see how you are all going.

Happy Wednesday!
Had a lovely let go-of-control Mindfulness Meditation this morning. 

At the beginning of the meditation I read out these reminders to students and I'd like to share them with everyone...

  • The act of meditation is more powerful than the thoughts that arise

  • Intention to sit is more potent than the outcome

  • The point of meditation is not to perfect yourself

  • Meditation is a tool, not a goal, and it is not the final destination, The litmus test is in learning to live your life well and being able to adapt and change and grow.


    The act of meditation is like feeding a bird, it requires three qualities; stillness, patience, and presence. Stillness as the bird needs to gain trust in you, Patience, as you wait for the bird to come and land. Presence, so you don't miss the event.  - Nico Luce

Happy Monday :) Kia Ora it's actually Shannon here logged on to Tamihana's computer but wanted to send a quick hello to everyone.

Welcome to our new members...if you need help navigating the platfrom please reach out. And a especially big shout out to Rebecca Casey from Strive2bfit who is trialing out our platform to share with her community of fitness warriors.

To those who just joined me in the Monday Morning Meditation, I forgot to acknowledge that yes I dropped the Brahmari Breath in favour of Oms to enlongate our exhales...intuitively got a message that oms were more appropriate today! Hope you enjoyed.  I know it helped me find my own centre.

Tamihana and I are always assessing the analytic data of what is being watched on the platform which helps us decide what is most useful to you - our community. We feel that we need to make a few changes in light of what we are seeing or in light of what most of you are watching so we will finely tune our offering over the next few days and update you all with the changes. So keep your eyes peeled for a community announcement and an email.

Hope you all find some time this week to fill your own cup...even 5 minutes to breath.

Looking forward to our Yoga Flow Live Stream early tomorrow 6.30am. Lots of yummy lunges and hip focus which is great for workers and athletes. If you have a strap handy or even a old thin towel - you might find it useful. See you bright and early.

I have had someone let me know they had an issue joining the Live Stream this morning! We did in fact encounter a little tech issue this morning and had to think on our feet. The live class did go ahead and will be in the library soon. But I apologize to anyone who had issues joining. We have this rectified for Wednesday.

I look forward to continuing on this week's theme...root down to rise strong.
